*section starting in the middle of the head slightly wider than the perm rod

*roll up curls with paper on either side

*begin at the crown and work down thoroughly saturating rods

*remove cotton and replace with clean cotton and a processing cap

*test curl after 5 minutes look for an s shape

*rinse thoroughly blot each rod with a towel

*apply neutralizer and allow to set for 5 minutes
