Hitler Takes Sudentenland
On September 30,1938, the prime minister of Great Britain, Neville Chamberlain, the prime minister of France, Edouard Daldier, and Benito Mussolini, met with Nazi representatives and signed an agreement that allowed Nazi's to annex Sudetenland. Hitler had threatened to take it by force and its allies were trying to avoid bloodshed. Hitler gained support of citizens because of it being a heavily German populated area. He was a "champion" of the citizens. He capitalized on theƮr discrimination.Radical groups used demands and the treaty, to allow easy occupation of the area. (NY Times, Brittanica)
