Demographics and Psychographics

From my research into target audiences, we chose our main product to target towards the younger generation as our main character ‘Edward’ is 17 years old. As he is of a similar age to the target audience this will help to create a personal relationship throughout the film with the audience. The audience will be able to relate to certain themes and situations within the short film that young people may experience within their own lives. Also, the questionnaire enabled us to decided that our film will be aimed towards an audience of all social classes due to particular issues raised throughout. We also found that the film would be aimed towards category E of demographics, which consists of unemployed, students and casual workers. For the psychographics of the film I decided my audience would fit into all three categories which are succeeders, aspirers and individualists as the age group was mixed meaning the audience could be at all different stages within life.
