When thousands of residents were ripped from their daily lives as they felt the shock of the tsunami and saw it crash into their city.it swept through the land pulling cars small buildings and people along with it. It caused fires, landslides, and nuclear incidents. Its classification is a mega thrust tsunami. Even to this day Debris from the event still end up on the North American coast over two years later.
