The people...

Around 16,000 people died, 6-7 thousand were injured, with 1-3 thousand missing. Since the event people are now living in relocation, up to 289,000 people are now living in temporary housing. 128,000 buildings were completely destroyed, 273,000 half collapsed, and about 748,000 buildings were partially damaged. Some damage was that. Towns were uprooted, many nuclear plants were shut down, and the people lacked homes for a long time after. Hundreds of thousands are still displaced from their homes to this day. The community came together to help each other after the event almost immediately saying many lives. Other country's also pitched in to help.
