Mexica women
- had no public role in the society but dominated by military values
- they did have importance within their family and also held high honors as the mother warriors
- could not inherit properties or have official positions as they had to be under the law of their husbands and fathers
- worked well in the market place for example with embroidery
- the Mexica society has only two jobs for the women, one to bear towards motherhood and two homemaking
- having children ----> future warriors that would capture the enemy in case of a battle
