Salve class and merchant class

- the major proportion of the population consisted of cultivators that lived in hamlets and then cultivated chinampas

- they worked on lands that were given to aristocrats/warriors and even worked in public projects

- the cultivators were responsible for giving tribute payments to the state agents, who then has to give a major part to the elite classes

- cultivates were born into that such as the slaves who were Mexica forced into salvors because of criminal behavior

- craftsmen usually worked with sliver, gold, cotton textiles, and tropical bird feathers that were products for the elite classes

- merchants went to long distance trade and traded their tributes for the local products

- but sadly they often fell under the power of greedy warriors that took the wealth from the merchants that wanted to trade it.
