The Priest class and religion

-they were ranked along with the warriors in the elite class of Mexica

-have education in calendrical as well as ritual love

-they had power over all of the religious ceremonies that happened in the society which was crucial point in their society for the continuation of the world

they explained the forces that were behind everything in the world, so had very important influence to the advisors in the Mexica society

- "the smoking class" or Tezcatlipoca who was the giver and taker of life and was also the dirty of the worker class

- "the feather serpent" or Quetzalcoatl was the protecter of arts, crafts, agriculture and humanity

- Huitzilopochtli was war God which encouraged 100,000 of human sacrifices

- their was rivalry between Quetzalcoatl and Huitzilopochtli

- hinted gods through human sacrifice which in their eyes was necessary for the worlds survival
