“Chester may have been written during the revolution, but to me this song has some significance in my life today. My brother, from when I was in sixth grade to around freshman year, was in the marines and was deployed to Afghanistan and Japan. My sadness from not seeing him as much turned to pride, as although he was never in combat, he was there to defend that which had been pursued and fought for by people about two hundred forty years
ago. This song gives me that same sense of pride every time I sing it and reminds me to be proud of those who defend our freedom.”

Chester- William Billings
It is sad that these times trump us
Becuase of donald
That we must regain the direction and hope that we had with Ronald
And push toward creating the real American Dream
Yet in the interom improve the America as it be
Our country was never amazing
ye it was never terrible
the illusion that confuses ourselves
and the way we see our country is unbearable
There are a lot of racists, and acts of violence milked by the media
All one has to do is look on wikipedia
But you cannot swallow the sin of men
like you cannot swallow cinnamen
A society is consistantly proven to be as strong as its weakest link
As the weakest are the first to break
And hide their insecurity with deceit
But we cannot worry about others
Except with a helping hand
We must be the best of ourselves
If we wish to take a stand
