Lift Thine Eyes- Galilea Von Ruden

"Lift Thine Eyes is more of a peacful song. It talks about hope and has a biblical feel to it. This piece is nice to sing with the choir and has beautiful harmonies. The main challange of this piece for me are the high notes. It's not that I am unable to reach them, but I also have to pay attention to tone and how resonant the note is. This has made me into a better singer by letting me become more aware of my tonality. This piece was beautiful at Compline, because the acoustics in the church made it sound amazing.” - Gabby Rosenberg

"Singing El Vito was a very interesting experience for me, as someone new to choir this year. The fiery nature of the song makes it compelling as a listener, and the changes in tone throughout create a captivating song, yet also proved to be challenging for me when learning the song. As one of the first pieces I learned this year, this was my plunge into the world of choral singing and the experience greatly broadened my knowledge of how to sing and use my voice in a choir.” - Helena McDowell
