Continental Crust

This crust is made up of dense rock like granite. It's thickness is 10-75km. Continental crust is much older than oceanic crust. This crust can be found under land masses. For example mountains or even then land we stand on.

Oceanic Crust

This crust is also made up of dense rock like basalt, but this crust is denser and heavier. This crust thickness is 5-10km. Oceanic crust is formed in mid-ocean ridges. Magma erupts from mantle through cracks in the ocean creating crust has it cools.
