allows guest to customize their own aroma experience
1. hand guest chakra sheet and ask them to pick two icons that appeal to them most
2. explain that the symbols each represent a different aroma of therapeutic oil that will be used in their service
3. tell the guest to close their eyes and relax while you prepare their two choices
4. insctruct them to inhale when you place your hand on their shoulder, to smell each of the aromas
5. continue with the massage after they pick which one they prefer
1. apply aveda lotion to your hands, evenly distribute product to your guest's first hand
2. interlock your fingers with your guest's and rotate their wrist three times in each direction
3. turn their palm up and apply pressure while dragging your thumbs from the wrist, down to each finger three times
4. make small circles with your thumb while moving around the palm three times
5. turn their palm down to access the top of their hand
6. repeat the same dragging motion down the tops of each finger three times
7. starting at the thumb, squeeze each knuckle of the finger three times (squeezing the tops and bottoms)
8. when you reach the last knuckle, or over the nail, firmly squeeze the sides of the finger, releasing as you pull away from the finger
9. repeat the same process, but squeeze each finger from the sides of the knuckle (three times each)
10. repeat the releasing pressure procedure from step eight
11. turn the guests hand to the side (as if you are giving them a hand shake)
12. apply firm pressure in small up and down movements to the point that connects the thumb to the top of the hand
13. place your hand over your guest's to signify closure
14. (repeat process for other hand)
1. after the guest chooses their essential oil,
start at the crown and rub the aroma into the scalp in small circular motions
2. pull the oil through the ends of the hair as you massage the head once you cover the entirety of the scalp
3. move down the nape to the shoulders and begin massaging by doing the butterfly movement (three times)
4. transition to the piano movement (three times)
5. massage the shoulders by working the tension outwards (three times)
6. without breaking contact, put your hand on the back of the guest's head, and move so you are standing to the side of your guest, applying consistent pressure to the nape while moving in small circles with your thumb and middle and pointer finger. then hold that pressure for a count of three.
