Punk music originated in the 1970s, first in New York and then spread quickly to London.

The term “punk” was first used to describe homosexuals, then young criminals and then fast and violent music that was against authority.

Punk music was created as a reaction to the hippy culture and music of the late 1960’s.

Famous Punk Bands: The Ramones,Sex Pistols, The Clash, Green Day, The Stooges.

Punk style originally stated with the 1950’s look and then the punk uniform became a motorcycle jacket, t-shirt, skinny jeans and sneakers. Later mohawks, and piercings.
