Prognosis? Why is early detection so important?

Standard Chemotherapy is given to patients in early stages of cancer. Patients with ALK-positive respond well to the chemotherapy and have over 70 percent long-term disease free survival. ALK-negative have a lower prognosis of 45 percent to 50 percent of long-term disease-free survival. Early detection is vital in ALCl as it's an aggressive T-cell lymphoma its fast growing and the earlier it's diagnosed in the stage the more positive it will react to chemotherapy. Prognosis is more positive he earlier it's found in a stage.
