The British were the winners in this battle. The Americans were so not prepared that the difference of the outcome on both sides were big. The British had the least amount of damage while on the other hand , the Americans were faced with a lot of killed and wounded soldiers. For the Americans, there were 300 casualties. As for the British, there were only 64 casualties. The number of captured Americans were 1000 men. However, for the British, there were only 31 captured soldiers. 800 men were wounded on the American side. Only 293 soldiers were wounded in the British side.
