How was the Battle Won?

The Battle of Long Island was a Battle of a lot of strategies and tactics. However, not all of them worked. The American Army (Patriots) hid behind many object likes rocks. Thus we're breaking the rules. Furthermore, they were also confusing the British in many ways. The British thought it was unfair and breaking the rules. The American Army (Patriots) thought they were going to win the whole battle easily. That was not the case, however, the British found a better way, they retreated to the safety of New York City but had achieved victory in the Battle of Long Island, New York. That was the final of the Battle of Long Island. The American Army (Patriots) were in defeat.
