Roman Culture and government and art
Romans used and adapted cultural styles from the Greek and Hellenistic culture. The mixing of the Greek, Hellenistic and Roman cultures was called Greco-Roman culture.
The Roman Empire was tangled together under one single government and one single state.
The Romans created mosaics which many rich citizens had in their homes. Mosaics are stone, glass or tile resources being pressed down onto a surface. In many wealthy homes they had paintings or large murals called frescoes painted right onto their walls.
Their paintings represented a lot with soldiers in battle and crowds of people and different landscapes. The Romans were a military empire and they liked to have a strong military.
