The Roman Colosseum

The Colosseum was built from 72 A.D. to 81 A.D.

The structure was made of stone and concrete to create it.

The Colosseum was 157 feet tall and 620 feet long. The arena was 287 feet long by itself and 180 feet wide

The colosseum held 45,000 to 50,000 people inside of it.

Their were giant staircases to the exits of the building to let people out of it in minutes.

There were 80 entrances into the colosseum

They used Velariums which were a retractable cover over top of the seats and the people inside to help shield them from the rain.
