Visitors from across the world were amazed by Rome's architecture. They used many techniques and building strategies like an arch and a dome and concrete to build great structures like the Roman Colosseum.
Those arches also supported bridges and aqueducts. Aqueducts were designed by Roman people to help bring water into cities and towns. When and aqueduct ran over a river or a ravine then the aqueduct was lifted high up on the arches. Many public buildings like the United States Capitol building uses Roman features.
