Accomplishments

In May 1787 congress called a constitutional convention to met in Philadelphia Pinckney was a leader in the convention for South Carolina. He was the second youngest at 29 but he always spoke his mind at the convention. Pinckney was elected to the committee on how the convention would operate. He was the one who kept religion out of politics. Pinckney was a major part in the document the now governs us. He was ranked fourth most influential behind Benjamin Franklin. It took ten days but South Carolina voted to ratify the constitution all because of Pinckney.
