California Gold Rush Difficulties, Acheivements, and Incentives.
Incentives
- The incentives of the Gold Rush were the thought of becoming rich quick, making lots of money as a merchant, settling land for free, and following the american dream.
Hardships
- There were many hardshipa in the Gold Rush which included, actually striking it rich, conserving your money, staking a claim, and actually getting to California from wherever you were at the time. The Donner party experianced extreme hardships by getting stuck in the mountains in winter, eventually resorting to cannabalism to survive.
Acheivements and US Expansion
- The Gold Rush Caused an economic boom in the US and made people either very rich, very poor, or you stayed the same finacially. It brought many people out to the West to populate the rest of the US.
