Thayendanegea or known as Joseph Brant was a chief of the famous Iroquois Indians. He believed that if the Indians didn't act, more of their land would be taken. He convinced many groups to side with the British.

John Chavis was a famous black soldier who spent 3 years in the Fifth Virginia Regiment. He received fame as a Presbyterian minister and teacher of both black and white students.

Lord Dunmore was a royal governor who lived in Virginia. He promised freedom to indentured servants, convincing many to join the war.
