Thermal Iron Curl Styling

Forming the base A.K.A. Rocking the base

🍃Hair is 100% dry

🍃While holding the iron, pick up a section of the hair using the little finger of your dominate hand or section with a comb

🍃Place hair in comb teeth up at the desired elevation, the stronger the base the less mobile the hair

🍃Apply iron as close to scalp as possible

🍃Keep tong of iron slightly open, use comb to keep hair in iron, rotate iron towards you

Forming the curls

For Hair Under 5"

🍃Hold hair at correct elevation

🍃Pull out to the hair end

🍃Hold the comb at the scalp, roll down to complete the curl

🍃Remove the curl by gently clicking the iron to the right and moving the hair towards the comb

🍃Clip the curl in place for a firmer set

For Short to Mid-length Hair

🍃Hold I got the curl at the correct elevation, move the iron away from the scalp

🍃Use the comb to move the hair along the barrel toward the handle, then rotate the iron

🍃Place the comb under the curl, by the scalp, to protect the scalp

🍃Rotate the iron, opening and closing it so the hair rotates freely into a curl

🍃Continue rotating until the full length of the strand is curled around the barrel

Clip the curl for a hard set

For Long Hair

🍃Hold hair at correct elevation, move iron away from scalp to about mid-length

🍃Use the comb to move the hair along the barrel toward your hand, near the handle, then rotate the iron

🍃Then draw the strand to the opposite side of the curl and pull it over the top of the barrel; use your fingers or comb if necessary

🍃Place the comb under the curl, by the scalp, to protect the scalp

🍃Rotate the hair around the tong and barrel, clicking so the hair rotates freely into a curl

🍃Remove the curl from the iron by gently clicking the iron and moving the hair with the comb off the barrel

🍃Clip the curl in place for a firmer curl
