Arnold Saves The Day
The Hamdover
Burgoyne' Failure
Benedict Arnold had a plan to hand over West Point and if it was in the British's hands, the British would have separated New England from the rest of the colonies. Thankfully, his plan failed.
General Burgoyne followed his plan. While traveling south, he encountered the Americans. The Americans weakened their forces by cutting down trees on roads and shot soldiers. Food was scarce, making it even more difficult for the British.
Burgoyne sent soldiers to Bennington, Vermont. Sadly for them, American General John Stark & General Benedict Arnold were guarding Bennington. Many British soldiers were captured.
