Miners
Miners were people that searched and dug for gold. In the 18th century, the Australian government wasn't treating the miners fairly, by not letting them vote and they made them pay a lot of money for licences. The government was always on he opposite side to the miners. The miners got given food, which was beans and bread, and if they were lucky they got meat.
Tools they used
Panning, puddling, cradle, shaft mining, miners pick and shovel
