A Zealous Pioneer (Zebulon Pike)
There were tons and tons of Zealous Pioneers. But, we are focusing on one right now, his name was Zebulon Pike. He was the person who discovered Pikes Peak. If you did not notice, it is named after him. He was an American Brigadier General. Also, he was an Explorer. Like, I said earlier, he discovered Pikes Peak. He had to be really Zealous though. Nobody can discover something overnight. First he had to get to Pikes Peak. First, he crossed Great Plains and the Rocky Mountain. Then, he went to Red River and to a lot of different places. He met several different Native American tribes in his expedition and a lot more. To make long stories short, we will just say after a long journey he had found Pikes Peak. But, if I made the journey sound easy let me tell you it was not. All the dangers of the Oregon Trail and the Gold Rush applied here. Also, it was harder than the Gold Rush and Oregon Trail because they traveled in big groups. Zebulon did not travel in huge groups. So, give the guy some credit for what he did. (But, If Zebulon gave up Pikes Peak would not have been discovered!)
