Buddhism

Around 563 B.C. Prince Siddhartha Gautama was born. Gautama lived a happy life and married a beautiful woman at the age of 16.
By the age of 29, his life changed when he took a ride beyond the palace garden and discovered the misery and poverty of his people. Greatly upset by this, Gautama bid farewell to his family and left the palace, never to return.
For many years Gautama searched for answers, but never found any. So he meditated under a tree for 49 days and finally found the cause and cure to all the suffering. Gautama then became the enlightened one, or the Buddha.
