Mass

In the Russian Orthodox/Catholic Church, children participate fully in the liturgical and sacramental life of the church after their Baptism, and receive Holy Communion from infancy.all people are welcome into the church, however if they are not baptised as orthodox Christians, they cannot fully participate in the sacramental life of the church. There are very few seats within the church as these Christians generally stand throughout the Divine Services. Russian Orthodox Christians are encouraged to dress modestly and without drawing attention to themselves. The languages spoken during the mass are Slavonic and English. Evening services usually last between one and a half to two hours in length, whereas the morning services are generally between two and two and a half hours. Evening masses consist of readings and short hymns usually with no preaching or teaching, as this is achieved through the passages from the Sacred Scriptures. Te morning services have readings from the Epistles and Holy Gospel, as well as Holy Communion and Preaching.
