Problems with the Laos Government

The United States opposes any acts of violence against the Lao government. In late 2006 and 2007, more than 1,000 former fighters and family members were estimated to have surrendered to Lao authorities.

Laos was at one point in a war with Vietnam and had conflicts that they would become communist and currently Laos is.
