On February 19, 1846, President Anson Jones gave his farewell address. Many people thought about the event of the homecoming since they had move to Texas. Those people were really familiar with the government, customs, money system, and language, but the only thing is that Texas is still a frontier state. The frontier stretches from the Red River to the Rio Grande along the present day route of interstate 35.
