William Lloyd Garrison- born December 12th 1805.
Most radical white abolitionist who was active in religious reform movements.
Started his own newspaper "the Liberator."
Found anti- slavery society in 1832.
He died on May 24th, 1879.

Fredrick Douglas was born into slavery in 1817 and was taught how to read and read by his owners wife.
He escaped slavery and became very interested in reading " The Liberator".
In 1847 he began his own anti- slavery paper naming it " The North Star" which guided runaway slaves to freedom.
