Emma Willard- was born on February 23th, 1787.
In 1821 she opened one of the nations first academic schools for girls in New York.
Died April 15th 1870.
Mary Lyon- she was born on February 28th, 1797.
In 1837 She founded Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in south Hadley, Ma.
She died on march 5th, 1849.
