Monarchs

The monarchs, or kings, owned all the land and owned everything in the kingdom that they ruled.
They also bestowed land on the nobles. They had total control of feudal system; owner of all land; only
gave land to nobles who pledged loyalty and provided soldiers/knights; top of social pyramid
