Santa Fe trail
The Santa Fe Trail was a transportation route that ran through the U.S. that connected Franklin, Missouri, Santa Fe, and New Mexico.
The Santa Fe trail was important because it linked the United States to other trades routes like the Camino Real and the Old Spanish Trail. Since 1598 the Camino Real had been used to carry settlers and goods from Mexico City and from Chihuahua to Santa Fe.The Old Spanish Trail was a trade route that connected places in northern New Mexico that were near or in Santa Fe with New Mexico, Los Angeles, California and southern California.
