King Henry VIII

Every king's job is to have a son who can take the thrown when he dies. Sometimes, kings would do whatever was necessary to have one. King Henry VIII went to the pope asking for him to give his wife a son or a new wife. It wasn't so easy though because the pope couldn't just give King Henry a son and of how the Catholic Church feels about getting a divorce. The King then decided that he would then make his own religious group which would be exactly the same as the Catholic Church but you can get a divorce.
