- The Lamprey has a serpentine shape, along the lines of an eel.

- This means it can hide in small crevices and cracks, allowing it to hide from predators.

- Lampreys are usually the same color as their environment, meaning they can hide just about anywhere, a sort of camouflage, if you will.

- They move like an eel; they use their entire body to move. This makes them rather swift, and when this is combined with their already eel-like appearance means they can move easily... Unless they've over eaten.
