In the story Satchel Paige it talks a man named Emmet Wilson and how he was in the mlb. He was a 18 year old boy who's dream was to play baseball and he got into the mlb at only 18. He had to leave behind his infant son and his wife but he was assured that he would make a good living for them. He also told his wife that he would make more money than both of their fathers combined. This was a very hard decision for Emmet because he loved baseball so much but he also loved his wife and son so much. He assured her that he would make a better life for their son than he would have ever had with him making 14 cents at a minimum wage job. We'll one of his first games his team was versing a team with Satchel Paige on it. Satchel was one of the best players off all time in the MLB not only one of the best pitchers but he was one of the best players. We'll Emmet's life and dream got turned around that very game when he slid into home plate and injured himself to never see baseball again in his life. This story goes on and on about how Satchel Paige was as great as he was and all the accomplishments he mad throughout his carrier.
