In chapter one Meg is sitting in her attic bedroom curled up thinking about the hurricane that had a bunch of warnings on the radio. She was thinking about what would happen if the roof blew off. She was also thinking about Charles Wallace and her two other brothers who are sleeping at the time, as she was sitting she was thinking about Charles and how he has a special ability to understand her mother and Meg's thoughts or emotions.
