In chapter one, after Meg came downstairs Charles Wallace was sitting at the table drinking milk waiting for her, he asked and had made her a Sandwich and also made his mother one as she came downstairs. As they were eating they heard a noise in the lab. Mrs. Murry went in the lab to check and came back with a little old lady. This old lady was Mrs. whatsit. Mrs whatsit sat down and took off her boots to get the water out, as she was sitting she had talked to Charles Wallace and mrs. Murry after she dumped out the water she decided to leave. As she left she mentioned the tesseract to mrs. Murry which upset her.
