The U.S. Involvement in WW1

The US entered the war on April 6, 1917. They joined up with the Allied Powers. The sinking of the Lusitania and the threat from the Zimmerman note had the majority of Americans chomping at the bit to enter the war. When the American soldiers arrived in Europe they increased the morale of the wary French and British soldiers. During the summer of 1918 they arrived at the rate of 10,000 a day. At that point the Germans could not replace their losses. The Americans also provided the much needed food, supplies and funding. The US entering the war ensured victory for the Allies.
