Endemic Species
Rafflesia arnoldia has the largest flowers in the world, measuring up to 1m diameter. The buds takes months to develop while the flower only last a few days. Because the flowers are unisexual, successful pollination is a rare event.

The Bali starling Leucopsar Rothschildi is the only vertebrae species endemic to Bali, whose population fell to 6 birds in 2001 due to illegal cage-bird trade.
Orangutans, specifically the Bornean and Sumatran species, mature slowly and have a low reproductive rate and are threatened by habitat loss due to logging, fires, and agricultural conversion.
