Succession

There are two types of successions. One is primary and the other is secondary. Primary is when there is no soil, just bare rock like a new island a volcano would form. Secondary is where there are soil remains on the ground.

Pioneer species

Pioneer species are usually the first life forms on a new piece of land.

This is lichen in a primary succession environment .

This is moss in primary succession.

This is fungi in secondary succession

This is bacteria in primary succession.

Climax community is when all of the pioneer species have grown and grown to there full self. For example a tree that is 18ft talk in a forest.

These are examples of huge trees in a forest.

This is a example of grown up bushes in the desert.

This is a example of secondary succession with the soil.

This is a example of climax community which has full grown trees

These are primary succesion because of the rocks

This is secondary succesion because there is soil where plants can grow.
