Erosion

The difference from weathering and erosion are that weathering is the process of breaking down rocks into fragments that eventually become sediments. Erosion is when rocks ,soil and sand get moved by water or wind.

Example of erosion

One is when water moves the rock and forms something that looks like the Grand Canyon. Also when the wind is so strong it carves things in certain types of rocks.(sculptures)another example is like when your at the beach and say your making a sand castle, the water comes up and erodes the sand into the sea. One last example is glaciers are connected and then it starts to get hot and they erode off of its own connection and make a big gap.

Examples of weathering

One example is when say you see a stone in a grave yard and has cracks in it which is physical weathering. Another example is when you see sedimentary rock and it has little parts of rocks around it and cracks in the layers. Also when you see rocks around the ocean that have big holes in them which is called chemical weathering. Also when hails, the hail can make big spaces in things like in hills for example.

The soil under the tree got moved by erosion.

The words as you can see are not very visible because the rock got broken down little by little and also could have got both eroded and weathered at the same time.

All of the ground got eroded as you see. I would think it got eroded by water

In the rode the rock has been broken down and made cracks in the rode which they had to replace with that type of substance.
