Before Luther died, other reformers started following him. One reformer is John Calvin. One of Calvin's teachings was predestination, the idea that God knew who would be saved before birth. He also taught that it was important to live a good life and obey God's laws.

Another reformer is King Henry VIII. He had sons and his wife couldn't have anymore children. He wanted to marry another, but the Pope refused. He created the Anglican Church. He didn't change much of the church rituals. His break from the church opened a door for other Protestant beliefs to take hold
