Photosynthesis & Repiration

Photosynthesis is how much oxygen is being produced by a plant. It occurs in the chloroplast of the leaf cell. Carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) are synthesized by light energy into glucose (C6H12O6) and oxygen (O2). The chemical formula for photosynthesis is 6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2. Cellular respiration is what cells do with oxygen. Some of the products of it are carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O), and ATP (adenosine triphosphate), or energy.
