- Allies win war

- The Treaty of Versailles mainly punished the Germans. It had them take full blame, pay war reparations, cede lands, and accept limitations on their armed forces.

- The Espionage Act, which prohibited interference with military operations and recruitment, as well as insubordination, and the support of U.S. enemies during war.

- The Sedition Act, which came a year after the Espionage Act, covered a broader range of offenses. Mostly speech and opinion. Prohibited negative talking of the U.S. government, its flag, or its army.

- Austria-Hungary was broken into four countries (Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia)

- Although the Germans lost the war, this still lead to the rise of Hitler
