- War Industries Board was established. It was a U.S. government agency thats job was to coordinate the purchase of war supplies.
- The govt. strongly believed in militarism at the time, so as most of the men joined the army and were fighting in the war, the women of the time stepped into an unfamiliar role, and worked jobs at factories etc.
- These factories were used to manufacture needed war products
- European Allies approached the U.S. for everything they needed. (weapons, food, raw materials, etc.)
