-Women were used in World War One as nurses to help tend to the sick or injured soldiers of the war

-They were also used to entertain the soldiers and put a smile on their face.

In America, wives of soldiers helped the cause by going out and promoting the war, along with asking for help with money or other support.

-Many women took over the mans role in the family and did manual labor if that was what their husbands job happened to be before he went off to work

-The Red Cross would ship supplies overseas that would help give the men better care. Medicine and other medical supplies were sent.

-Women wanted this war to be over so they could see their husbands or sons again, so they did everything they could to make that possible.
