City of Bones has several setting ones that have the most impact on the story line are: The Pandemonium, Clary's House, The New York City Instute, Silent City, and Renwick's Hospital (Blackwell's Island)

The Pandemonium is where. Clary first meets Jace Wayland Alec and Isabelle Lightwood when they are on a mission ti kill a demon.

Clary's House is where Jocelyn Fray (Clary's Mom) is kidnapped, and Clary fights her first demon.

The New York City Instute where Hodge keeps ShadowHunters safe. And Jace, Alec, and Isabelle live. It also has a portal.

Silent City- Where the archivists called the Silent Brothers stay. Clary and Jace go there to try and recover Clary's memories that her mom didn't want her to remember

Renwick's Hospital (Blackwells Island) this is where the battle with Valentine happens and Jace and Clary THINK they are related. This is also where the find Jocelyn.
