Plot

Clary sees three ShadowHunters kill a demon in a club and begins drawing the angelic symbol after. When confronting ShadowHunter Jace Wayland her mom is kidnapped by Valentine.

Clary finds the Mortal Cup in a card her mother painted for their neighbor . Which she had remembered.

Clary finds her mom and Valentine on Blackwell's Island, and along with Luke they fight him for the cup.

Clary and Jace kill the ravener in her home and go to the NY Instute with Clary's bestfriend Simon. There Clary meets Alec and Isabelle Lightwood and Hodge Starkweather.

Together with Hodge and the Silent Brothers they find a block on Vlary's mind. They go to Magnus Bane who put the block on her mind, and he says it will go away soon.

Clary, Jace, and Luke use a portal and send Valentine into Idris where the Clave will take care of him and the cup.
